Features Galore.

Hey! My name is Ben Gotow and I'm the web designer, programmer, and janitor here at BuddyMapping.com. I'd like to introduce you to some of the features that I think make BuddyMapping the best solution out there.

No visitor registration!

Guests that want to sign your map don't have to create an account, or wade through email confirmation pages. The form is on the map page, so visitors are just one click away from being added to the map.

Location, location, location.

Maybe I'd rather not give away my street address to the entire world. People that sign your map can provide whatever information they want: their full address, their zip code, or just their state. We're talking about privacy here!

As much, or as little as you like.

Want people to leave their myspace screennames so you can get in touch? What about their email addresses? Customize your map and ask your buddies for as little or as much information as you want. Just check the boxes and fields are added to the form below your map.

Live Search.

So you've got a map with 50 people on it! Thats a great thing, until you try to find somebody. Live search makes it easy - just type into the field above the map. A list of possible results appears as soon as you start typing. Click a name, and the map takes you to their marker. Problem solved.

Put it on display.

Put a live-updating picture of your map on your blog or website! Customize the colors to match your existing design, and copy the code. Its that easy. Clicking the image allows people to see the map full-size and add themselves.

The master list.

Lets say you're in a band and you've got a map of fans. BuddyMapping lets you download an excel spreadsheet with all the information your visitors provided. Assembling an email list has never been easier. You can even access the geographic data (lat, lng) that BuddyMapping stores internally to do your own cool things.

Here a picture, there a picture.

Your guests can attach a picture of themselves to be displayed along with their comment. Its time for group mapping to be friendly again.

Help! I moved.

Not a problem. When someone signs your map, an edit link is displayed in the thank you area. Bookmark it, and you can come back anytime to change your entry on the map.

Customized Thank You's.

If your visitors provide their email address, you can configure BuddyMapping to send them an email when they sign your map. Write your own message, or use ours. Its the thought that counts.

Google Earth.

Download a .kml file that you can use to view your map in Google Earth! Take a flight over the interstate and watch as the orange dots glide by. Its easy, and you only have to do it once. The data in Google Earth will update automatically as more people sign your map.

Dashboard Widget!

Find yourself checking your map every five minutes? If you use Mac OS X, you can download our widget and watch your map from the comfort of your dashboard. Just type in your map's url and relax. It updates automatically every five minutes.
